Apache Active MQ
Apache Active MQ is a JMS provider. This software enables asynchronous communication between applications via JMS Queues. Message transport is realised either through point-to-point or publish-subscribe. Even requirements like Load Balancing, High Availability or SSL-encryption of messages are supported. Queues can be accessed for example via Java, C++, Ajax and .NET clients. Furthermore a platform independent REST interface is available to put and get messages. more...Apache Camel
Apache Camel is an integration framework which allows to create mediation and routing rules. A lot of patterns Gregor Hohpe and Bobby Woolf described in their “Enterprise Integration Patterns” book can be used. To realise the pipes and filters architecture, Apache Camel provides two objects. The CamelContext object is an executable Java object and a container for route objects. A route objects defines a transition between a start- and an endpoint with any number of filters intermediate. Start- and endpoint are applications which communicate via Apache Camel. They can be bound to Apache Camel through adapters (for example JMS, SCA and HTTP). The filters use predefined classes of the framework to predominantly enable physical and logical format transformation and content based routing. more...Apache ServiceMix
This ESB is supported by a great open source community. It is based on the Java Business Integration (JBI) standard. The core of JBI is a Normalized Message Router (NMR), which enables asynchronous mediation of messages. The NMR includes a few OSGi Bundles, which can be deployed in an OSGi runtime. By using the so-called servicemix-camel-component Apache Camel routes can be deployed within an Apache Servicemix runtime. more...Apache Axis2
Apache Axis2 is the successor of the Apache Axis web service framework. It has been completely newly designed, to satisfy grown needs. Web services are bundled in .aar files to enable update and hot deployment. Equally the data-binding, which is useful to assign xml content to programming language objects was revised. Furthermore Apache Axis2 permits to extend web services with features like reliability and security. To achieve this, modules like Apache Sandesha2 (WS-Reliable Messaging) and Apache Rampart (WS-Security) can be used. more...Apache CFX
Apache CXF is another open source web service framework, which arises through the fusion of XFire and Ionas Celtix. Java based web services and clients can be created on basis of JAX-WS. JAX-WS is the successor of JAX-RPC. In contrast to the predecessor, JAX-WS is message oriented and enables asynchronous communication. Apache CXF supports the protocols HTTP and JMS. In the field of data-binding JAXB and Aegis are available. more...
